1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Inscribe (the "App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Inscribe is a privacy-focused transcription and note-taking application that uses on-device AI processing powered by Apple Intelligence. The App provides:

  • Real-time audio transcription
  • AI-powered summaries and insights
  • Document analysis capabilities
  • Offline functionality with all processing occurring on your device

3. License and Usage

3.1 License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Inscribe on any Apple device that you own or control, subject to these Terms.

3.2 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the App
  • Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 One-Time Purchase

Inscribe is available as a one-time purchase for $9.99 USD (prices may vary by region). This is a permanent license with no recurring subscription fees.

4.2 No Refunds

All purchases are final. Due to the nature of digital goods and Apple's App Store policies, we do not offer refunds except where required by law. If you have concerns about the App before purchasing, please contact us at support@get-inscribe.com.

4.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change the price of the App at any time. Price changes will not affect users who have already purchased the App.

5. Privacy and Data

5.1 On-Device Processing

All transcription, AI processing, and data analysis occurs entirely on your device. Your recordings, transcriptions, and documents never leave your device.

5.2 No Account Required

Inscribe does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the App.

5.3 Data Collection

We collect limited anonymized analytics and crash reports to improve the App. This data is never tied to you personally. For complete details, please see our Privacy Policy.

6. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the legal right to record and transcribe any audio you capture using the App
  • Complying with all applicable laws regarding recording, including obtaining consent where required
  • The content you create, store, and manage using the App
  • Maintaining the security of your device and the data stored on it
  • Backing up your data; we are not responsible for any data loss

7. Recording Laws and Consent

IMPORTANT: Laws regarding audio recording vary by jurisdiction. In many areas, you must obtain consent from all parties before recording a conversation. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. We are not liable for any violations of recording laws.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, functionality, and underlying technology, is owned by us and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the content you create using the App.

9. Apple Requirements

9.1 Device Requirements

Inscribe requires an Apple device with Apple Intelligence support (iPhone, iPad, or Mac with Apple Silicon M1 or newer).

9.2 App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms shall prevail with respect to your use of the App Store.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 "As Is" Basis

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10.2 Accuracy

While we strive for high accuracy in transcription and AI-generated content, we do not guarantee that transcriptions, summaries, or other AI-generated content will be error-free or completely accurate. Always review important transcriptions for accuracy.

10.3 Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or that it will be error-free. We may suspend or discontinue the App at any time without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the App
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of your device
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the App
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in transcriptions or AI-generated content
  • Any content, conduct, or actions of any third party

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Changes to the App

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App or any features at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the App.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Croatia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of Croatia.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
